Gamers

The Quick & Dirty: Gamers are the face of Dayton Sportcial.  They referee games, verify/record scores, and most importantly make sure that everyone is having a good time.  Gamers have to have a solid understanding of the game, but also be able to roll with the punches of the heat of competition.  You’re basically the gym teacher with a sweeter uniform.

 

The Musts: Although this is all about the fun, there are some must haves for this position. 

Gamers must:

- Have an interest in refereeing different games

- Be fun and outgoing

- Have their own transportation

- Be willing to work 1 to 2 night(s) a week

- The Payout: $10-$15/hour (Based on experience)


Chaperones

The Quick & Dirty: As much as the Gamers’ job is to make sure everyone is having fun, the Chaperones’ job is to make sure the paperwork is done right, settle any disputes, and help make the experience better for our players.  It’s not a glorious gig, but it is the most important.  Sportcial is always trying to make the experience better, and the Chaperone is a key part to that process.

 

The Musts: Although this is all about the fun, there are some must haves for this position. 

Chaperones must:

- Previous supervisory/management experience preferable

- Be easy going, but be able to enforce the rules

- Ability to learn and understand our bar games/sport rules

- Help strategize upcoming events

- Be trustworthy and a person that anyone would want to grab a beer with

- The Payout: $15-$20/hour (Based on experience)


Marketing Intern

The Quick & Dirty: If they don't know about us, how can they be part of the fun?  The Marketing Intern handles all aspects of marketing, including but not limited to managing Sportcial's social media accounts, developing marketing campaigns and strategies, creating flyers (digital and print) and branding. 

 

The Musts: Although this is all about the fun, there are some must haves for this position. 

Marketing Intern must:

-Have or in pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Business or a related field

-Have advanced knowledge of reaching customers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc

-Be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, SEO, Google Ad Words, or other comparable design programs

-Be able to work independently as well as on a team

-Have own computer


Web Designer

The Quick & Dirty: The Web Designer is in charge of our first impression on our players!  From the moment a player clicks on the link to the time they look at the final standings, the Web Designer is responsible for making each online experience a good one.  Make the current site better, or add your own twist, just make DaytonSportcial.com a place people want to go to and share with friends.

 

The Musts: Although this is all about the fun, there are some must haves for this position. 

Marketing Intern must:

-Have a strong interest in coding (degree or in pursuit of Web Design or Computer Engineering degree preferable)

-Be able to analyze internet trends

-Be able to work in a team environment
